American Airlines offers in-flight Wi-Fi on nearly all routes, with prices starting as low as $10 per flight. For frequent flyers, the airline provides a monthly Wi-Fi subscription plan at $49.95 for one device or $59.95 for two devices. These plans are valid on most domestic flights within the U.S., and between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, or Central America, where network coverage is available.
The Wi-Fi service is powered by providers such as Viasat, Intelsat, and Gogo, offering high-speed connectivity suitable for browsing, checking emails, and streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and HBO. To check if your flight has Wi-Fi, refer to your boarding pass or visit the American Airlines website ahead of time.
For eligible T-Mobile customers, complimentary Wi-Fi, texting, and streaming are available on most domestic flights. Additionally, inflight Wi-Fi has free access to aa.com.
Starting in January 2026, American Airlines plans to offer complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi to AAdvantage® members on more than 2 million flights annually, covering approximately 90% of its fleet. This service will be powered by Viasat and Intelsat, in partnership with AT&T.
